Happy Thursday. My friend Fizah from BooksTalebyMe tagged me with A-Z Bookish tag. Thanks Fizah and again sorry for missing it. 🙂 🙂 You guys should really check out her blog. She’s lovely and has amazing posts. 🙂
So apparently, I have to answer questions/categories that start with each of the letters. Here it goes:
A – Author you’ve read the most books from?
Plenty, actually. The thing about me is that if I happen to like the first book I read by a certain author, I’ll sure won’t stop til I read all his/her books. But if I’m gonna choose, John Grisham and Nicholas Sparks. I’ve read all their books except their recent two books. 🙂 🙂
B – Best Sequel Ever?
C – Currently Reading?
I’m not actually sure why I’m reading it. Yesterday, I was cleaning my shelf and picked this one up and started reading, and enjoying it. This is a reread though. And it doesn’t fit any category in my Reading challenges but who cares. 🙂 🙂 I love it. It’s filled with angst and the hero is such a jerk. Oh God, what’s happening to me?
D – Drink of choice while Reading?
Coffee. Though I’m trying tea as my doctor advised me to. 🙂
E – E-reader or Physical books?
Physical Books though lately I’m into E-reader since there are too many new books I like that aren’t available yet in the Philippines and shipping cost so much so E-books it is.
F – Fictional Character you probably would’ve dated in high school?
Carswell Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles or Thomas Cresswell from Stalking Jack the Ripper series. Judging from the only guy I dated in high school, these two fit my standard. Yep, when I was in high school, I love brainy guys who are slightly arrogant and jerk.
Oh wait I still love this kind of guy. Hahaha.
G – Glad you gave this book a chance
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. Science, Forensic Science, is a big part of this book. And though I love horror, mystery and Historical, Science is just not for me. I only read Sci-fi if it’s somehow fantasy. So I was hesitant to pick this up, but gladly I did. I would’ve missed this amazing series along with great characters. 🙂
H – Hidden gem book?
Ahm, I don’t think I know one. Nothing just comes to mind right now.
I – Important moment in your reading life?
Again, this is the first book I’ve ever read and reading this is the most important moment in my reading life. This one started this READING LIFE anyway.
🙂 🙂 🙂
J – Just Finished?
K- Kinds of books you won’t read?
None actually, I’m open to any genre and any kind. But I rarely read NOnFiction and recently, I was advised not to read books that tackles mental health. I’m avoiding triggers.
L – Longest book you’ve read?
Maybe this, since this is one of the biggest/thickest books in my bookshelf. 🙂
M – Major book hangover because…?
A death of a character that doesn’t make sense. Or simply when the book is great, especially great characters. —SIx of Crows… Hahaha…
N -Number of book cases you own?
Okay there are three bookshelves in our house and though I don’t literally own them, my books are the ones in it. But one of them contains school books like encyclopedias and such. 🙂
O – One Book you’ve read multiple times?
I read Harry Potter series every year. 🙂 It’s a tradition folks.
P- Preferred place to read?
None. I can read anywhere and wouldn’t even mind what’s going on around me as long as there’s no danger. hehehe
Q – Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you read?
Why??? Guys we’re talking about Kaz Brekker, a criminal prodigy, and for him to say these words… *deep sigh*
R – Reading Regret?
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. I shouldn’t have. It almost killed me.
S – Series you started and need to finish(all books are out in the series)?
The Kane Chronicles.
T – Three of your all-time favorite books?
Harry Potter series, Six of Crows duology and Lord of the Rings. 🙂
U – Unapologetic fangirl/fanboy for?
I just answered it above. 🙂 🙂 🙂
V – Very excited for this release – more than others?
I’d say The Cruel Prince. I was really so excited for it and I wasn’t disappointed. Right now though, I’m so excited with Escaping From Houdini (3rd instalment in Stalking Jack the Ripper series) and The Daughter of the Siren Queen (sequel to Daughter of Pirate King).
W – Worst bookish habit?
Imagining. I hate myself for this though this makes me happy. There are times that I would just stop reading just to imagine. Seriously.
ALso, buying too many books. 🙂 🙂 🙂 *Not guilty at all*
X – x-marks the spot: start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book.
Eliza and Her Monster. 🙂
Y – Your latest book purchase?
The Magicians trilogy by Lev Grossman
Z – zzz-snatcher (book that kept you up way late)?
Ahm every book I’ve picked up before bed. I just can’t sleep with an unfinished story in my mind.
Finally, I’m done. I genuinely enjoyed filling up each letter. but I must admit, it take sforever to finish it. 🙂 🙂
So I’m not gonna tag anyone. If you want to do this, consider yourself tagged. 🙂 You’ll enjoy this , I promise.
Happy Reading guys,
