I saw this tag from Nada’s blog, Early Bookish Birds, and yeah it’s calling me. Anyway, I just decided to do this because why not.
*WARNING: it’s past 1 A.M here and I’m not really sure if I’d make sense in this post. SO forgive me, in advance. 🙂 🙂 🙂 I can’t sleep.
*Describe your bookshelf and where you got it from.
Actually I own three bookshelves. Fine, they’re not really mine, they’re my old maid Aunt’s. I’m living with her. But I feel like I own them because it’s my books that live in these aforementioned bookshelves. One was filled with my textbooks/encyclopedias though. Anyway, I only found a photo of one. I wanted to take photos but I feel lazy and it’s freakin’ 1 am.
*How do you organize your books?
Ahm as you can see above, the spines are hidden. Also I have this little stack of books in some certain nooks around the house where I usually read. And I’ve been collecting Grisham’s books, the hardbound ones this time since I already collected the paperbacks and they’re not in the shelves.
*What’s the longest book in your shelf?
Under The Dome by Stephen King… 1074 pages (Hardcover)
*What’s the Shortest Book on your shelf?
Maybe this: 144 pages
*Is there A book you received as a Birthday Gift?
This frustrates me as much as it amuses me. Everyone knows I love books and collect them but everyone also knows I love writing. And it’s as if they all agreed to buy me any writing stuffs(notebooks, pens, stickynotes, etc.) instead of a book. One friend said, I might not like the book they pick. Duh? as long a sit has words on its pages, I’d love it. Another friend reasoned thye might buy a book I already owned. Duh? I don’t mind owning two copies. Not at all.
Though I did receive a book from someone but it was on Christmas.
*Is there A book from a friend on your shelf?
Like a borrowed book? Ahm none. Because I don’t have much reader friends.
Don’t judge me it’s just that I took wrong courses in College that most my friends are now accountants and engineers. I love them though and they KNOW it. hehe.
*The Most expensive book on your shelf?
What are you talking about? There’s no such thing as expensive book? Since the value of every book does not depend on its price but rather on the treasures lie on its pages.
LOL!!! I’m a Book Activist guys, I deserve some round of applause and standing ovation. Hahaha.
*The Last book you read on your shelf?
Daughter of Smoke and Bone and here’s my review.
*DO you have a complete series?
I don’t even wanna start…
*What’s the newest addition on your shelf?
Does Kindle counts? LOL… but honestly I’m on a physical copy book buying ban… Guys, I need a HUG.
Okay, I’m okay. Really… It’s fine that I’m on a Ban. Really I’m okay.
*The Oldest book on your shelf.
Oh I still have the very first book I’ve ever read when I was eight years old. It was a pocketbook edition of THE CLIENT by John Grisham. 🙂
*What’s a book you’d hate to let out of your sight? (A.K.A. No one is touching it. Ever.)
I actually have this quirk with books. NO ONE ever touches ANY of my books. NO ONE is allowed cleaning the shelves too except myself (The maid likes this so it’s a win-win situation).
*The most beat up book?
I wish I have a photo saved of it. It was a book in my language (Filipino/Tagalog). Actually it’s the only book written in my language that I’ve ever read. I think it was translated in other languages too.
*The most pristine book?
I love my books but I won’t really call them pristine. 🙂 Ahm but they’re all in good condition as you can see in my photo above I even wrap most of them with plastic.
*A book that is your favorite color?
This particular blue is my favorite.. 🙂
*A book that’s been on your shelf the longest and you still haven’t read it?
Just one of the oldest books I’ve been wanting to read…
And that’s it guys…
Feel free to do this tag and let’s chat about these books. AND YOUR SHELVES…
