24-Hour Readathon (Feb.2018) -Wrap Up

Hi Guys,

As you all know I just had my first ever 24-hour Readathon and yeah it ended an hour ago. So this post is late. But you must understand I had only three-hour sleep the whole day. But I did post my last book review even before 6 p.m. tonight. That marked the end of my the Readathon for me.

Though sleep-deprived and exhausted, I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it. It was fun. I’m not really good with so many things, (yeah what a loser I am) but reading and not-sleeping happen to be two of the few things I’m good at. You knew how young I started reading novels and they were crime thrillers, long novels, and they used to keep me awake all night despite how young I was. I guess, I had good practice early. Also due to that I got an insomnia at a very young age.

So a 24-Hour Readathon is definitely my game. That’s why I’ve always wanted to do it and finally I got to do it along with Noriko @DiaryofABookFiend. Two other amazing ladies also joined us, Bree and Amberry. It was more fun with these ladies. And I’m keen to do it again next last weekend of the

So my Accomplishments:

Total Books            :  Four (4) – each with reviews
Total Pages             :  1605 pages

Books I Finished:

Long before today, I knew I was really going to read a whole series, but perhaps a Trilogy for I know, I’d finish it in a day and maybe grab an ARC before 24 Hours ends. I don’t know why I ended up reading Vampire Academy.

There are six in the series. I only got to finish 4 of them.

This series have always been on my TBR since I watched the movie which I didn’t liek, by the way. I was hoping I’d like the books. and I did. Also these book fit in a category on one of the Reading Challenges I’m doing this year.

I did promise to post an update every two hours bu I couldn’t do it, I was busier on reading.

Here’s how it went with me throughout the Readathon.

1. The Beginning. (24 Hour Readathon February 2018)

2. Hour 2 (Readathon Update)

I didn’t really make any amazing progress in the first two hours as I was pestered by my baby cousin. I also had to shower and eat dinner.

3. Hour 4 (Readathon Update)

Still no amazing progress but it was fine I guess. When I read, I sometime put on music, but the problem was I was listening to Taylor Swift and I couldn’t help but sing along with her once in a while. 🙂 🙂

4. Hour 6 (Readathon Update)

I finally finished reading Vampire Academy and I remember being so happy about it. Not because I finally had accomplished something but the book’s story was amazing. I really had to pick up the next book right away. 🙂 this was my reaction after reading the first book,

5. Hour Ten (Readathon Update)

At this time, I was already sleepy but not much I could still make myself read. And wow, I didn’t really sleep until it was …

 6. Hour Twelve (Readathon Update)

I thought it was just fitting that I sleep halfway our readathon. Hour Twelve. And by this time, I already read the second book in the series. Meaning halfway, I already read couple of book. Not bad.

7. Hour 16 (Readathon Update)

This was my last updated. I looked at the hour and thought I can still finish two books if I don’t dilly dally… So I stop posting updates here on my blog, but I was still upadting on twitter and ranting on Goodreads as I update my current read. 🙂 🙂

Oh did I also mention, I made sure I make a review for all the books I’ve read. Yeap I posted them here too. I had a hard job huh?

1. Vampire Academy

2. Frostbite (Vampire Academy #2)

3. Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy #3)

4. Blood Promise (Vampire Academy #4)

Okay that’s it. Guys I just realized how packed my February Wrap Up this year. I mean I also had a  Reading Weekathon featuring ARCs. I read nine that week.

I guess I should be happy. Nah!, too tired to be happy…

Also i’m sorry for missed posts and comments today. I was caught up. 🙂 I’ll make it up to you guys, tomorrow.

I’m Signing off now…

I’m surprised you are even able to write posts at all lol. I would be completely exhausted if I were to attempt something like this. But really: congrats on making it. Really well done, and something to be proud of 😊

Great job, Lili! I applaud you! 4 books. 4 reviews. More than 4 update posts. Wowee! That is a lot! I really wish I could have joined you; however, I have a project I need to get done. Too bad I like school too much to drop out though! Ha! Anyway, I am so glad you enjoyed this. I am thinking of doing Zoe’s 24 hour readathon as I have nothing going on next week and I think I will join your next one. I need to fill my life with no sleep and more words on pages. I just need to check my calendar.

Also, I love your photo of you sleeping. I know you are not actually sleeping, but after that whole ordeal, if you were to take a photo, I think you would fall asleep immediately. Just remember Lili, never follow the doctor’s orders! 🙂
