Five Books I’d Save From Fire (Top 5 Tuesday #1 )

Happy Tuesday Nerds,

I’m joining another weekly meme guys. This seems like one of my favorite memes, Top Ten Tuesday, but even so, I want to participate. Actually, I’ve been wanting to participate for so long now, I’m okay doing two memes on Tuesdays. This one’s hosted by Shanah from Bionic Book Worm and if you guys wanna join too, you can check out this month’s topics HERE. This week’s topic is Top Five Books I’d Save From Fire.

If I can, I’d save a hundred books, but that’s impossible, I know. I won’t include it in this list but I’ll save at least one of my 6 Bibles from whatever calamity. It’d be the first book I’ll grab. Moving on, THESE ARE THE FIVE BOOKS I’D BE On FIRE TO SAVE FROM A FIRE:

1.) The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

If you’ve read this book, you’ll know why I’d want to save this. This book is phenomenal. It made me cry, made me smile. It messed me up, ruin me from the inside out, and you know what? I LIKED EVERYTHING IT DID TO ME. Now if you haven’t read this book yet, ahm, hope you get your hands on it. You won’t regret it. Even if you’re not into Historical, it’ll be hard not to fall in love with The Book Thief.

2.) The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (Chonicles of Narnia #1)

This is one of the most magical book I’ve ever read. Sure it isn’t Alice in Wonderland but if I’m gonna choose what to save from a fire between the two, I’ll save Narnia. I think this book is the kind of book I’d want my children to read, it’s filled with moral lessons. And how amazing would that be if they read the same copy I’ve read. 🙂 🙂
And I’d love to save all books in the series but I know I can’t so the first book it is.

3.) Lord of The Rings Box Set

This is another cheating but they’re in a box so… hehe. LoTR is one of the best series I can’t imagine my life without. This series means, literally means, Perfection. Even the movies are great. Though I don’t usually reread the books, the movies I watched few times a year. That’s how I addicted to them. I even listen to the soundtrack when I’m plotting my book. I can’t just abandon these books to a fire or any calamity. Plus they were expensive. 🙂 🙂 🙂

4.) The Road Not Taken and Other Poems by Robert Frost

My copy is very old. I remember finding it in a secondhand bookstore when I was barely ten. Is tarted reading novel at eight but I learned poetry when I was ten. The first time I read “the Road Not Taken” I was so enthralled, I started making poems of my own. So yeah, I won’t abandon this book in fire. I own several other book of Poems but this is one is really special.
5.) On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King

I want to save this because I haven’t read it. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this book from wanna-be writers such as myself and I wanna see it for myself. Actually I don’t know why I still haven’t read it. Recently, I read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott and loved it and a friend said I like this one even more. We’ll see. 🙂 🙂 🙂

 

Okay guys, these are the five books I’d save in a fire. Though I must add my very old copy of THE CLIENT by John Grisham in the list. It’s the first ever book I’ve read my whole life. 🙂 🙂
