Moody May Wrap-Up

Oh Hello People,

giphy

Am I really back from my hiatus? Let me guess, most of you didn’t even know I was in a blogging hiatus. Hahaha!!! Whatever! I was in a hiatus, I had to take a break. And what a great two-week break it was. Like I wanna make a video right now and post it on Youtube just so you all can see how ecstatic I am. It’s amazing what a break can do.

Did my word count increased in the past 2 weeks? No. Did I earn a penny while taking a break? Of course not. But you know what? I FEEL GREAT. I feel awesome and NEW. Sometimes, we all get overwhelmed and always in a hurry with life that we forget about the power of taking a pause. It did great to me and I encourage everyone that next time you feel overwhelmed, have a break. You’ll feel/be more productive after. And my health matters too.

Obviously, I didn’t read much last month. I read only nine books guys. NINE… For me, that’s a total let down because I can read 30 books a month. I did it last March… So finding out that I only read 9 last month made me sad but I’m over it. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ By the way, I joined Kathy’sΒ Moody May Reading ChallengeΒ and I think it suited my May perfectly. hehe.

Here are the Books I read last Month:

*Click the titles to see my reviews.

The Wicked Deep by Shea ErnshawΒ (3/5 stars)
The Oddling Prince by Nancy SpringerΒ (2.5/5 stars)
The Slow Regard of Silent Things (The Kingkiller Chronicle #2.5) Β (4/5 stars)
Sky in the Deep by Adrienne YoungΒ (4/5 stars)

The Marvelous Adventures of Gwendolyn Gray by B.A. Williamson Β (4/5 stars)
Rust & Stardust by T. GreenwoodΒ (3.5/5 stars)
The Boy from Tomorrow by Camille DeAngelisΒ (4.5/5 stars)
A Night to Surrender (Spindle Cove, #1) by Tessa DareΒ (4/5 stars)

There you have it guys. Seeing my Reads, I realized I didn’t even have a 5-starred read.Β But like I said, I’m over it. Besides June is a rereading month for me and so I’m sure it’ll be filled with 5 stars. I’m excited. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I’ll be back for my June TBR. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚Β How about you all, have you read this books? Or what have you read last month? You can comment your wrap-up links. I love to see your reads, hoping to find new reads.

Let’s chat.

    1. Thanks Nori. and YES.. I realized I can end my hiatus already. I have a great feeling about June. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Also it’s my birthday month so I’m gonna make it a good month. πŸ™‚ How about you, how’s your reading?

      1. Hi, Lili! Sorry it took so long to respond… my work has been hectic again and I was feeling a bit under the weather thus haven’t made much progress lol

  1. You’re right for taking a break when you need one! Self-care is WAY more important than.. well.. anything else really.

Wicked in the Deep is on my June TBR – sort of. It won’t be a reread but I’m trying to throw some of my owned TBR in the mix as well. We’ll see how it goes. πŸ˜›

    1. Very well said, Kath. Taking a break really matters.
Hope you’ll enjoy Wicked in the Deep, it’s very well-written, I swear. And like you, I’m gonna mix my TBR with new books too. especially I have ARCs to read too. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Goodluck to us. Happy reading

      1. Exactly!
Ooh, I’m looking forward to it!
Haha, I got on top of my ARC’s even more during Moody May – which is crazy since.. no TBR and I kept myself from checking which ones to read first. Whoop! I only have one ARC I really want to read this month and it’s a fluffy one, so I’ll speed through it.
        Happy reading! ❀

          1. I’ve been pretty good at it from the start. I know most people mess up by requesting everything they can when they first start out, but I never did that.. I’d be drowning in them otherwise – I’m sure.
            Three isn’t that much, indeed!

            1. Hope I’m like you… hahaha.. Seriously, when I first started with ARCs I was like a kid brought in a pastry shop. I just can’t get enough but I learned my lesson. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

            2. Hahaha, I have moments like that but I try restricting myself by looking at the release date of the novels. I can hardly start requesting books coming out this week, while I’m already reading a book and don’t want to feel pressured to pick up an ARC stat. That’s what keeps me in line most of the time, anyway. πŸ˜€

            3. That’s what I also do now. hehe. I’ve learned.
By the way Kath, I’m gonna use your image for Jazzy June but I edited it a little bit. I just added your name and blog name on the image so they’ll know who’s hosting the challenge. πŸ™‚ Is it ok?

  2. You read some great books! And, sometimes a break is definitely needed. I really want to check out “wicked deep” and “the boy from tomorrow”…. I keep telling myself that I’ll get to them one day! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜…

    1. Thank you.. :)Yeah it’s amazing how a break can do though my usual thinking was it will just slow everything I’m doing but it’s needed. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I both recommend the two books. Hope you get to them soon. πŸ™‚

  3. You are adorbs. Glad you had a nice, blogging hiatus. You do wha’ cha gotta do and keep it real. No on any of these books, but I’ve finished The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street, The Immortalists, and The Bone Witch. Oh, and today I zoomed through the last of The Midnight Rose.
