Hi Guys,
I can’t even remember if I did this meme last week. I’m sorry guys, I’m kinda busy. Actually it’s more like I’m a mess. Most of my posts were scheduled and I’m sorry it takes me so long to respond on the comments. And I’ll try to visit your sites as soon as I can.
Anyway, let’s just get on with this meme. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah from Bionic Book Worm. We’ll be happy to have you joining us, by the way. And I love the topic this week: Five Characters I want to be best friend with. Five isn’t enough but I’ll try to limit myself. Also I won’t include Hermione in the list because hey, that’s given. hehe.
1.) Simon Spier from Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
Awww, Simon. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be best friends with Simon? He’s adorable and kind. I love his heart, his principles, his honesty, his courage…It would be so much fun to hang out with him, or simply just stay in his or my bedroom and binge watch ‘Friends’.. hehe. Simon can be the perfect best friend we all wish to have.
I think everyone knows Simon Spier, I don’t need to say more. 🙂
2. Ove from A Man Called Ove
I think this is very unexpected but I really wanna be friends with Ove. I mean why not? For those who don’t know him, all I can say, without giving spoilers, is that he’s old and he’s grumpy. It’d be fun to hangout with him. Or just sit with him at his house’s porch, having tea. Maybe reading too. I’m pretty sure, he can teach one thing or two about life. I mean, he’s old. He’d been there.
🙂 🙂 🙂
3.) Iko from The Lunar Chronicles

Iko is an Android and once belong to the Linh Family and is best friend of Linh Cinder. I know not everyone have read Lunar Chronicles so I’ll try not to give away spoilers. All I can say is that Iko is loyal and kind. She can give great advice and I found Iko’s input in the books sensible even though she’s an android. Also, I think I’ll enjoy having conversations with her. She’d be fun to talk with about boys and FASHION. People, Iko is the one to ask when you’re in trouble with your wardrobe.
4.) Auri From The Kingkiller Chronicles
If you haven’t read The Kingkiller Chronicles (You’re missing so much), you probably have no idea about Auri. Auri is the MC, Kvothe’s unusual friend who lives under the University where Kvothe studies. She’s an old student who’s gone.. let’s just say, she has issues. But why I wanted to become Auri’s bestfriend, aside from she’s adorable and clearly lovable, is her fascination with things. Especially things that for most people are not valuable enough. She likes to keep and name little things. That sounds like me and I know, I just know it’d be so fascinating to be friends with her. And did I say she lives in her own little dark world? Yep, that sounds like me as well. hehe.
5.) All characters in Six of Crows Duology
Anyone who’ve read Six of Crows would know why… Kaz, Wylan, Jesper, Matthias (Oh Matthias), Inej and Nina. Especially Inej and Nina. These two beauties instead of hating and dissing each other like some female characters do, they just support and love each other despite their differences. HUGE differences.
And their teamwork? God. Most of all, they’re IMPERFECT. They’ll be very accepting to me too. hehe.
Looking at my list, I realized how diverse my picks is. But this isn’t just for show, I really wanted to befriend these people. Even in real life, I befriend everyone despite their backgrounds, that is if shyness doesn’t take over first. hehe.
So tell me about characters you want to befriend too, or merely your friendships. this is such an amazing topic.
Let’s chat.

This is so cute… I have only one fictional character whom I want at all costs, but alas he is married, and in every book I am told how much they love each other… Sheeshhh

Now, I’m so curious. Who is he and where can I find him? And how can I steal him from his wife? Haha…

Great post Lili. I would love to have Ove as a friend, he has his issues, but he is so giving and caring. I forgot about Iko, but you are right, Cinder would have had noone without her. I have not read any of the others yet.

Right? Ove is an amazing human being. And I agree, Cinder was lucky to have Iko.
And if you read Cinder then you’ll be interested to read Six of Crows too. Oh my God, that duology was brilliant.
