The Versatile Blogger Award [Seven Wordy Things About Me]

Hi Guys,

imageFirst of all, I wanna apologize to Michel who most of us know as Raistlin. He nominated me few months back but I’m just doing this now. I feel horrible but I know he’ll understand.

Raist, you will understand, right?

Hehe.

Anyway, secondly, thank you so much for nominating and for being such a very understanding friend. I’m glad I met you here. Doesn’t matter if it’s only virtual meeting, still thank you for the friendship.

And if you guys aren’t following him yet, well, now’s the time. 🙂

Without further ado, to the award.

Seven (7) Things About Myself:

All of you know I love books and I want to be an author, right? So I decided to share all seven Wordy/Bookish things about me. Besides, books and words are  really big parts of myself so if you really want to know me, this is the best way to start.

1.) Favorite -Book-Question makes me Foolish

I have plenty, I know I have plenty but it baffles me that whenever I’m asked what’s my favorite book is, I can’t seem to think of anything. I mean I just have to utter a title, one title out of many but it’s like my lips got zipped and I become incapable of talking. It’s ridiculous. I mean, when you ask me what my favorite film is, I’d say Avatar fast, favorite animation, Rise of the Guardians, favorite book adaptation: Lord of the Rings. See, I don’t know why I can’t pinpoint my favorite book.

2.) WIP (Work In Progress)

I’m very proud to share that I’m almost done writing the first draft of my fantasy novel. And I’ll soon share bits about it.

But hey, don’t let this GIF fool you, I’m really scared about this stuff. There are countless what-ifs in my mind right now regarding my book.

3.) Spelling

I’m not good with spelling. I swear, I am not. This is weird, I know. I grew up as a reader and well, I wanna write books for the rest of my life and yet I’m terrible in spelling. There was a time I couldn’t even spell the word, ‘Purpose’. And now, I still can’t spell so many words. This is making me really sad but I learned to live with it. I even thought I have a learning disability but it was never confirmed. I’m not really bad in school, I actually graduated as Salutatorian in highschool (Yay!), but I’m just bad in spelling (and Physical Education. hehe.)

4.) Poetry

Aaaaah!!! I love poetry so much. I even write many poems growing up but it’s been a long time since I tried composing. But my love for poetry never died. I still love so many poets and have large volumes of their works. I love Robet Frost, T.S. Elliot, Emily Dickinson, Sylvia PLath, Maya Angelou, E.E. Cummings and many more.

If you love poetry, what’s your favorite poem? And poet?

5.) Favorite Genre

When I was young, like 8 till 15 years old, Crime/Legal Fiction was my favorite genre. So much that I thought I’d be a lawyer. I wanted too, but my interest shifted when I reached teenage. Before I know it, I’m already reading ever genre available. Even Nonfiction which I once swore I’ll never read.

What’s your favorite genre?

6.) Written Exams

I love exams as long they’re written exams. Now you might say, no one really loves actual/practical exams, but that’s not what I’m choosing written exams against. I love written exams than lessons. I love going to school when it’s exam week, my enthusiasm to attend classes escalates to thousandth power. Do I pass all the exams? No. Do I study for them with the same enthusiasm? Also no. Lol.

I just love taking exams. I’d rather take exams the whole month and even fail them than to listen or watch my professors teaching. God knows how many times I fell asleep in my classes and even fake headaches and stomachaches just to be excused. What can I say, I was a terrible learner. hehe.

7.) Stories I Dreamt About

Now THIS is the weirdest. I’ve dreamt of stories that if I really give my all effort, they can be real novels. Like long ones. For example, I dreamt about this story of two teenage girls, and they had an accident with their friends and….

It’s so creepy. I’m sorry that’s all I can say at the moment because currently I’m turning it into a movie script. A script I’m gonna enter in a contest. Wish me luck, you guys. And these dreams of mine is yet one of the reasons why I can say I was really made to share stories. I know, kinda arrogant for me to say that but I need all the motivations I can get, if my dreams are helping me, well, thank God.

That’s it, I hope the seven facts I shared didn’t bore you all. 🙂 🙂

  1. Haha, yes I understand it completely! Really no need to apoligise at all. I’m always running behind on tags myself so yeah I completely understand😊
You have made a really fun post out of it, and I loved reading it. Also really cool about the fact that you have almost completed your book, and are also working on a movie script. So many exciting things!. I could wish you luck, which I will, but you won’t need it: have faith in yourself! 😊😊 You are going to do fine, both with the book and the script! 😉😊

  2. Congratulations on getting the award! And, yeah, I can’t answer ‘my favourite book’ questions, like seriously, this is getting pretty old right about now. Plus, OMG, I am so happy for you and your novel!!!! Exams? Really? Wow, that’s great, I guess. I like giving exams too but I dread getting the results, ahhhh…

      1. Haha, ok, that is super advanced! But really cool skill 😀
My last dream i remember was about me giving birth to twins, and had no idea what to do with them. Tried to feed them banana (it’s a recurring dream btw, me having a baby and trying to feed it banana), and kept thinking i should call my boss, tell him i’m not coming to work for 6 months cuz maternity leave, but he also haven’t seen me pregnant cuz i wasn’t really.
        😀

  3. Finally had the guts to open my wordpress and yaaayyy, this is one of the first things I saw. Thanks for the nomination, Lili! And congratulations for the award! Though the things you shared about yourself made me question what my fave book is too and I have no idea what to pick, lol. Would hopefully be able to get back on this before the month ends 🙂
