Hi Blisses,
It’s day 4 of #Blogmas 2018 and today I’m sharing five (5) book titles that I think are cool.
This is with an apology to Shanah from @Bionic Book Worm, who hosts Top 5 Tuesday. I can’t put the weekly meme’s name on the title because I have to include “Blogmas”. I’m aiming to complete 31 Blogmas titles. Hope it’s okay Shanah. 🙂 By the way, thank you for this unusual topic. The topic is catually just, “Top 5 Book Titles” and it’s up to us how we would distinguish a title from others. I love it. 💖💖
Okay, now what is cool? I actually have no idea but I love a good challenge. After a deep musing, I came up with 5 titles which I think is cool for entirely different reasons. Hehe.
1.) IT by Stephen King
A pronoun. Need I say more? 🙂 I think it’s very cool in a way that when I heard/read this title, there was an avalanche of questions in my mind. One syllable, two letters. So simple yet made me wonder so hard.
2.) The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan
I love the word ‘after’ on titles. Or even the word ‘Before’ because they always means a good back story and I love back stories. But this title took it to another level. This title is really what actually made me buy this book. What color is ‘After’? That’s the big question that the title brings and how cool is that?
3.) Honor Among Thieves by Rachel Caine and Anne Aguirre
Duh? What is cool? This is cool. We all know thieving is NOT cool but we also know that honor can be found anywhere. And the title says ‘AMONG THIEVES’. Made me think about thieves having amazing relationships. And I’m a sucker for those. You know what I mean? Like Kaz Brekker and his crew. But I haven’t read the book so I can’t really guarantee what the book is about.
4.) Kulti by Mariana Zapata
This is a name, a guy’s last name who is a legendary athlete and the public know him as Kulti. Mariana Zapata’s books are titled like this, by the way. She includes names of her characters in the title. Out of all her titles, I chose Kulti. I’m not sure but this title seems so powerful, like it exudes such authority. Maybe it’s just me who thinks this way. 🙂
5.) Broken Heart Attack by James Cudney
James Cudney is a friend blogger of most of us, and I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t read any of his books. But I have them, well except for this, Broken Heart Attack. It’s his latest and I really love the title. Like my friend Nori said in her review: What a play on words. Indeed and because of that, this title is so cool.
There you have it guys. Hope you enjoy this short list I’ve made. Again thanks to Shanah for this wonderful topic. And if you guys aren’t following her yet, I suggest you do. She’s amazing. 🙂
If you want to add other titles in my list, please comment below. I’ll even edit this post just to add them. 🙂 🙂
