Chinese New Year Book Tag

Hi Blisses,

Happy Chinese New Year especially to my Chinse friends. 🙂 I’ve been tagged with this by Kay from Hammock of Books. Thank you Kay. And oh she’s also the creator of this tag.

Rules:

1.) Answer the questions and share your zodiac animal (Only if you’re comfortable with it! If you don’t know, you can look it up online based on your birth year!)
2.) Pingback to the creator of the tag (hammockofbooks) and whoever tagged you so we can read your responses!
3.) Tag some of your friends! (But not four because that’s unlucky!)

My Animal: Monkey, sometimes I look like one too. Haha.

Now to the questions:

1. NEW YEAR | A BOOK WITH A PHENOMENAL BEGINNING

Daughter of Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
I really find that first scene where Alosa’s ship is being taken by Riden’s.

2. CHINESE NEW YEAR | A BOOK BY AN ASIAN AUTHOR

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
I’ve read this recently and I really loved it. Also Roshani has Filipino and Indian heritage.

3. LUNAR NEW YEAR | A BOOK THAT TAKES PLACE IN SPACE

Fairest by Marissa Meyer
This is a companion novel of The Lunar Chronicles and actually my favorite book in the series which tells the story of the villain.

5. ZODIAC/YEAR OF THE PIG | AN ANIMAL SIDEKICK

I’ll go with Hedwig too. No one will beat Hedwig.

6. LUCKY COLOR RED | A BOOK WITH A RED COVER

The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory
I read this one last year and enjoyed the story.

7. FIRECRACKERS | A BOOK EXPLODING WITH ACTION

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
Because the MCs are running for their lives throughout the book, being chased by multiple antagonistic forces.

8. RED ENVELOPES | A BOOK YOU CAN’T WAIT TO OPEN

Sadie by Courtney Summers
I’ve heard nothing but great things.

9. DELICIOUS FOOD | A BOOK THAT MADE YOU SO HUNGRY

Deadly Sweet by Lola Dodge
I don’t even like cakes and everything sweet but this book made me salivate. That says a lot.

10. GATHERING WITH FAMILY | AN AMAZING FICTIONAL FAMILY

The Weasleys. They’re still my favorite.

There you have it guys. I won’t tag anyone because Chinese New Year is over but if you want to do this. Feel free to do so.
