Hi Blisses,

I have a confession to make. In Pottermore, I was originally sorted as Gryffindor. But I took the test again, even made a new e-mail for it, manipulated my answer a bit just so I end up being Slytherin. It’s because I know in my heart I’m Slytherin. But if another house wants to adopt me, I’d love it to be Ravenclaw. Not Gryffindor. I don’t know why my initial sorting ended up Gryffindor. No hate on Gryffindors, but I can never be Gryffindor. Or maybe I’m just in denial. Maybe I possess courage, enough to push me into an adventure. hehe.
But enough with Slytherin and Gryffindor, I’m here to recommend books for Ravenclaw House. Last week, I posted recommendations for Gryffindor and some of you asked through the comments if I’ll ever recommend some books to Ravenclaws. Well, here they are. Judging from the traits of this house,
I think this is the easiest house to recommend books to. But before I give you my recommendations, I should thank Shanah first from Bionic Bookworm. She hosts Top Five Tuesday and therefore the one who came up with these amazing topics. Thank you Shanah.
Okay, since its February, I decided to make 3 of the 5 books in this list are in Romance genre but all five has characters that I think all Ravenclaws would relate to. So Ravenclaws, are you ready?

1.) The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
This book has diverse characters. Two of them, Zofia and Enrique, are obviously Ravenclaws but I believe that all 6 of them has a BIT of Ravenclaw in them though I don’t think they know that. But this book is perfect for Ravenclaws, not only because of the characters but because of the book itself. Its plot involves a heist and a mind-boggling puzzle, Ravenclaws would just love to solve something while reading.

2.) The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
The MC’s name is Don Tillman and he’s a Genetic professor who is too book-smart for his own good. He’s really great at his job but not socially. And to find a wife, he even made some kind of an experiment, a test to find the right woman. Thus, the Rosie Project. If you’re a Ravenclaw, you’ll surely enjoy this book.

3.) A Week to be Wicked by Tessa Dare
A Historical Romance. Minerva Highwood is a spinster and a geologist. She studies rocks. Her spots are dark caves and definitely not dance floor. She’s a nerd, head always stuck in books with spectacles and everything. And she’s proud of it. This book is almost flawless, you guys and I think whether you love Historical or not, you’ll enjoy reading this. The amazing hero and hot scenes are just bonuses. 🙂

4.) Romancing Mr. Bridgerton by Julia Quinn
Another Historical Romance. This book is a part of a series that features 8 siblings. The Mr. Bridgerton here is Collin and his heroine is Penelope. Both, I believe, are Ravenclaws, though Collin might’ve discovered it late. But all I can say is that they’re both creative and it has something to do with writing. They’re both the reading-kind of people too, especially Penelope. But that’s not all, the wit and cleverness of these characters and the book itself. I’m laughing just by thinking about how Penelope managed to do what she did. I’m sorry I can’t say more because I might spoil the book, or worse the entire series.

5.) The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
This is a very obvious recommendation. Sherlock’s wit and cleverness will surely appeal to Ravenclaws. Enough said. Haha.
(Is it okay to be honest? While doing this post, I’m really feeling so tired and I think my last recommendation shows that. Though this is a perfect recommendation, I can’t even bring myself to explain why I’m recommending it. 😦 )

My dear Ravenclaw friends, hope you all find my meager recommendation helpful. Thank you and let’s chat. 🙂

I literally just read A Week to be Wicked and as a Ravenclaw I can confirm I absolutely loved it. Still need to read most of Quinns books although I did love the Other Miss Bridgerton. It could maybe be argued as Ravenclaw but I suspect is a bit more Gryffindor.

Oh, I loved The Rosie Project. I’ll have to check out the rest of these recommendations, too. While I’ve seen TV shows based on Sherlock Holmes stories, I’ve never actually read the source material.

I read Sherlock Holmes in the library when I was so much younger but I remember enjoying it. And I think if you enjoy the TV shows, you’ll love the books too. 🙂 🙂 Rosie project is such an entertaining read.
