I Left Slytherin House (+New Pottermore Profile)

Hi Blisses,

I did a thing and I’m making it a big deal: I left Slytherin House.

I know what you’re thinking. I can’t just left a house in Hogwarts, I am sorted into a particular House and it’s the sorting hat’s job not mine. Well, I consulted the hat. AGAIN. I discovered that I can delete my account in Pottermore.com and created a new one, using the same email I’ve used before. I took the tests again to know what house I belong to now.

Don’t get me wrong, Slytherin House is still amazing in my eyes but I just feel like, now that I’ve matured and changed a lot, I don’t fit in Slytherin anymore. Wizards in Slytherin House are said to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders and achievement-oriented. Well, I’m not those things anymore. Especially the ‘strong leader’ part. I learned that I’m so much better in the background instead of being in the front line. That sounds like a bad thing but really it’s not. I work better when I’m behind the scene.

And guess, I now fit in a House that is the exact opposite of Slytherin.

I’m Hufflepuff. I’m so proud and sincerely happy about it. I believe it is the perfect house for me. I mean, look at the traits!

Lol. Okay, to be clear, I ASPIRE TO BE ALL OF THESE TRAITS. Hehe. I don’t know why, but I’m blushing, maybe because Hufflepuff is almost perfect. I’m not being biased. haha. It’s like, OMG, if I ever marry someone, I want a Hufflepuff. If Cedric Diggory and Newt Scamander are the basis of Hufflepuff guys, well, I’m set for a good marriage. 🙂

Moving on, I want to share my new complete Pottermore profile.

My new Patronus

YES!!! A CROW!!! I’m officially naming my Patronus, Kaz Brekker.

My Wand is super cool and fits me perfectly. It’s too petite, just like me. And it’s flexible, also like… Fine, not exactly like me. LOL.

Like I said, I’m making this a big deal because changing my house is pretty much showing how much I’ve changed. This is a life update, people. This isn’t just me being nerdy, but I can assure you how much I enjoyed doing this post. I’ve never enjoyed doing a post as much as this one. I love it And I encourage everyone to share their Pottermore Profiles too, that is if you’re a potterhead like me.

Are you a potterhead? What house are you in? Have you been sorted into a house yet? What are your thoughts about it? Have you even visited Pottermore.com yet?

Let’s chat.

  1. I didn’t know you could delete your profile so I created a new one with one of my other emails. I have never felt like I truly belonged in Ravenclaw so I wanted to redo it and low and behold I was sorted into Hufflepuff which I am so much more happy with. I still have to finish the rest of my profile though.

    1. That’s what i did before too. 🙂 I just discovered it recently that I can delete my account. 🙂 To be honest I thought I’d be in Ravenclaw but well, I turned out to be Hufflepuff and like I feel so much more happy about it and it’s like perfect.

  2. From my experience I can say that it seems like all the best people are sorted into Hufflepuff. Most people I know are there. Even though I am a life-time admirer of Gryffindor (who isn’t, right?) I think Hufflepuff is something special.

    1. Yehey!!! A fellow Hufflepuff. 🙂 🙂 And lol, I’m really making this a big deal but I don’t post any life update on my blog so I thought this would be a fun way to do it. 🙂

  3. I’m a Ravenclaw and I still think that’s very true of me. However, I also think I’m part Hufflepuff and part Slytherin. I’m definitely not Gryffindor-ish. But I agree, some days I swing towards other house traits!! I’m glad you’re pleased with this, Lili!!

    1. To be honest I was hoping I’d be Ravenclaw, but then I turned out to be Hufflepuff and realized oh yeah, I love to be Hufflepuff more. But i stil think I have a blood of Ravenclaw. hehe. I can say I’m more than pleased so I decided to share it here. 🙂

  4. Welcome to Hufflepuff! I’m a Hufflepuff too. I wouldn’t say it’s the complete opposite of Slytherin. If I had to be in Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Slytherin, I would be in Slytherin. (I don’t think I’m ever gonna leave Hufflepuff though.)

    1. Yes, it is the complete opposite. So being a former Slytherin I didn’t think I’d be hufflepuff, I thought I’d be Ravenclaw but then here I am. A proud Hufflepuff. 🙂

Thank you for the welcome. 🙂

  5. Welcome!! I’ve been a Hufflepuff for years, everytime I take the quiz it never changes. I’m so proud to be a Hufflepuff though. I love that I’m in the same team as Cedric and Newt, it’s such a honour. I’m dating a Slytherin though but it’s ok, we fit!!

    1. Yes, I think my old Patronus was a kind of snake, I’m not sure. All I remember was it fitted me being a Slytherin. Now it’s a crow which is a great patronus. I was so happy since one of my all-time fave books is Six of Crows. hehe.

      What’s your patronus?

  6. Yep, a Potterhead here. I own the Ravenclaw cardigan and a sweatshirt that says, “I Solemnly Swear I’m Up to No Good.” House of Ravenclaw for me. Some time ago I made the ohana sort on Pottermore. The youngest is a Hufflepuff; me and the husband guessed her house correctly. My teenager is a Slytherin, LOL. And the husband sorted into Ravenclaw also.

    1. Your teenager being a Slytherin is not at all a surprise, I guess. haha. It’s great that both you and your husband are in the same house. 🙂 🙂

Also i’m jealous of the cardigan and shirt.:)

  7. One of my biggest issues with hogwart houses is the fact that they are sorted so young. I wish they spent a couple of years without being sorted to come into themselves without the house pressure. Orignally years ago I was sorted in to Gryffindor but now I’m in Slytherin and it makes way more sense for me personally. Im sure being around people who represent your house traits would influence you though so connecting with your house makes more since in that regard.
