Top 5 Book Covers of 2019 (so far)

Hi Blisses,

“Don’t Judge the Book by its Cover” This is definitely not always true to us readers. Let’s be honest here, sometimes, if not most times, we judge books by their cover. And no one can blame us. We should blame the artists who are responsible for such arts. Hehe. I’m kidding.

This week’s topic for Top 5 Tuesday is “Top 5 Covers of 2019 “ and if I’m not so busy, I would’ve put 10 or even 20 on this list because…well, there are a lot of great book covers this year and it’s so hard to pick just 5. I’m sure Shanah from Bionic Book Worm, who hosts this meme and came up with these topics wouldn’t have mind. But like I said, I’m busy so I only chose 5.

1.) The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

Green is one of my least liked colors, just next to orange, but this cover had my eyes go hearts the first time I saw it. And must I say, I saw it on Netgalley where I requested its ARC and got approved. But guys I already have a physical copy and it’s even more gorgeous in real life. MY REVIEW HERE.

2.) The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Whenever I see this cover, I can’t help smiling. It simply brightens my mood. Maybe because it’s so yellow and summer-y. I don’t even like summer and yellow isn’t my color. I only like this color on a car. hehe. But really, this cover is so pretty and cheerful. MY REVIEW.

3.) Wilder Girls by Rory Power

If this list is in order, this cover should be on the top. I mean, just look at it. I don’t have the exact word for what I feel whenever I see this cover. It takes the word “Beautiful” into the next level. Kudos to the artist.

4.) Internment by Samira Ahmed

This book is dubbed as ‘important’ by most reviewers on Goodreads which means this deals with an important issue or in other words, trying to make a statement about something. And wow, can we all agree that the cover alone is already making a statement. This cover is so fierce in a way that you’ll be pulled into reading the book. It’s like the story already started on the cover which is how it should be.

5.) Romanov by Nadine Brandes

Oh the combination of the colors. It’s so beautiful. I read this book as an e-ARC and until now it’s in my wishlist. I really want to own a hardback edition of this book. I bet my bookshelf would be more beautiful with it.

There you have it guys. I hope we all agree with these covers. πŸ™‚ But now, it’s your turn to share your favorite covers. And if you’re doing Top Five Tuesday too, share your links in the comments. πŸ™‚

Let’s chat. πŸ™‚

I ADORE book covers ❀ I'm guilty of choosing to read a book just because I like the cover. My favourites from your list are: The Wilder Girls ( I still haven't gotten around to reading this yet) and Unhoneymooners. Great list LIli! ❀
