First of all, I want to apologize for not answering your comments and not visiting your blogs these past few days. After doing Day-A-Thon (24-Hour Readathon) last Friday till Saturday, I was suddenly overwhelmed by the things I still need to do before the month ended yesterday. I also need to stay on my writing schedule, or more appropriately, my revising schedule because I want to start a new novel on November for NaNoWriMo. So now, that I got that out of my chest, let’s get on with what this post is really about.
Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah from Bionic Book Worm and this week’s topic is “Favorite Booktube Channels” but I decided to share Authortubers instead because I’m an aspiring author and I watch authortubers more than booktubers. But if I will recommend a booktuber, I would recommend Mel from Meltotheany. She’s new in booktube but I’m pretty sure most of you know her blog. Anyway, here’s HER CHANNEL and you won’t regret visiting it. Also she’s like a queen of book reviews. I live for her book reviews. And if we’re in Game of thrones, I’m definitely on her side. Haha.
But now, let talks about my favorite authortubers. These amazing, inspiring women help me in the writing process of my book and if you’re an aspiring author like me, I highly recommend their channels.
1.) Jenna Moreci
Channel: Writing with Jenna Moreci
Jenna’s channel is one of the first authortubes I discovered and I was amazed by her content because they really help me. She has variety of topics in her channel, from how-to’s to bookish lists that can be guide on what to do and what to avoid in writing a novel.
She’s only 22 based on her bio and still studying but her contents are amazing and really helpful to writers. She’s too young but really obvious that she knows what she’s talking about. I swear, you can write a book just by following all her videos. Her videos are like complete guides to writing a novel.
3.) Vivien Reis
Channel: Vivien Reis
I find her very relatable. I feel like when I watch her, I’m watching myself. lol. But really, I enjoy watching her videos so much that whenever I’m in a writing slump, I binge-watch her videos. Also she seems so sweet as a person.
4.) Kate Cavanaugh
Channel: Kate Cavanaugh
Aside from her amazing writing vlogs, I enjoy Kate’s personality. She seems the friendliest human being. So outgoing and fun to watch. She brings sunshine on my dark writing days. 🙂 She also has this sort of video series where she writes like famous authors. As an example, watch THIS VIDEO where she writes like J.K. Rowling for 2 days.
5.) Natalia Leigh
Channel: Natalia Leigh
What I liked most about Natalia is the relaxed atmosphere of her videos. She seems so chill in her videos, it’s like she sits in front of the camera and talks about what she knows. What you see is what you get. No gimmicks, no bullshit. I LOVE THAT. She also seems the most real person on Youtube.
There you have it guys. I really enjoy watching videos from these amazing ladies and I hope you visit their channels too if you’re an aspiring author like me.
