Hi Blisses,

Have you had your first 5-star read for this decade yet? Me? No. But anyway, I read three books this week and that also means I’m two books ahead of my monthly reading count goal.

This meme is hosted by Sam from Taking on a World of Words, and this is the easiest meme ever but the most helpful. WWW indeed helps me track my reads. *insert deep sigh* To be honest, I don’t feel like talking right now and it affects my writing of this post. LOL. So I won’t try giving you a long introduction. Let’s get on to the books right away.

#3 Questions are to be Answered

1.) What are you currently reading?

Though I’m already past my reading goal for this month, I still want to finish these three books before January ends. It’s because I’m planning to have a monthly theme for my reads. Next month would be fairytales and obviously these three books don’t fit.

2.) What did you recently finished?

Heartbreaker – is such a disappointment. I’m a fan of Julie Garwood’s writing but this one really is not for me. I found the narration too much and when I said too much, I mean it literally. Too Much. There’s a lot of info that not really important. Like why would I need to know every single thing on a newspaper a character is reading? You get the gist.

I Can’t make This Up – aaaaah, this one is such an enjoyable read and I highly recommend this. I’m pretty sure even the ones who don’t read non-fiction will love reading this. Kevin Hart is hilarious.

The Flatshare – is the most recommended to me out of all the books in my January TBR. I only heard but good things about it and you guys, YOU’RE ALL RIGHT. I really love this book. There’s one element in the story that I don’t like, but it’s a personal thing so it’s okay. I will discuss it more in my review.

3.) What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m sorry I can’t share anything yet. Like I said, my current reads would be the last books I will read this month. I’m not done compiling my February TBR so I’m still undecided what to read next. One thing I’m sure is it’s going to be a fairytale or a retelling.

There you have it guys. It’s a productive week for me but since January is ending, I can’t help but feel disappointed. JUST A BIT. It’s because I didn’t have a 5-star read yet. It’s the start of a new year and a decade, and I want to have first five-star already. But there’s still few days before February so let’s not lose hope.

Again, I mentioned this last week…I won’t be posting lots of reviews on my blog anymore. I would post reviews from time to time but not as often as I used to. But I will always review my books on Goodreads so if you want you can Add + Follow me there. Here’s my Goodreads Link.

Have you read any of these books? Are they on your TBR too? What do you think of them? What’s on your TBR this week? Have you had your first 5-star read of this decade yet? Let’s chat.

  1. I’m so glad to see you enjoyed I Can’t Make This Up! Sorry to hear you haven’t had any five-star books yet this year, though. I’ve been really surprised with how many five-star books I’ve had. Your time is coming, though! Wishing you all the best reads in February. 😉
