Top 10 Non-Romance love in Books

Hi Blisses,

NOTE: I accidentally posted this yesterday and I apologize for that. I might’ve clicked ‘published’ rather than saved as draft.

I had a hard time coming up with the topic for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday. This meme’s hosted by Jana @That Artsy Girl and for this week, there’s no prompt but it’s Love Freebie. To be honest, I don’t feel like posting about love this week or this month. I just don’t feel the Valentine’s fever. Not because I’m single or anything but because, it’s just hard right now in the Philippines with two volcanoes now threatening to erupt, there was even a recent ash fall here. Everyone needed to wear face mask. And then there’s corona virus. It’s already in the Philippines. So yeah, who would have time for Valentines Day?

Okay, sorry about the negativity and yeah, enough of that. Let’s get on with what this post is about. This list would be about every love between two people that is not romance. I love romance and if it’s not in the romance genre, then I want even a hint of it. But there’s something about non-romance love that’s just make a book more special. Right?

1.) Malorie and Boy and Girl (Bird Box)

2.) Kaz Brekker’s crew but especially, Inej and Nina (Six of Crows Duology)

3.) Rose and Lissa (Vampire Academy)

4.) Kvothe and Auri (The Kingkiller Chronicles)

5.) Evelyn Hugo and Harry (The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo)

6.) Peter Pan and Tinker Bell (Peter Pan)

7.) Karou and Zuzana (Daughter of Smoke and Bone)

8.) Cinder and Iko (The Lunar Chronicles)

9.) Frodo and Sam (Lord of the Rings)

10.) Harry and Hermione (Harry Potter)

This post won’t be complete without this pair.

There you have it guys. Again, I apologize for posting this accidentally yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I checked on my blog and it has 15 likes and 3 comments. It doesn’t even have a title. It was just posted. I think my whole body was red when I discovered it. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

How about you, have you read these books? Do you like these characters and their relationships? Any other favorite? Recommend them to me. Let’s chat.

Wow, the Philippines is going through a lot lately. I’ll be thinking of you and hope you stay safe.

And, yes, there definitely is something very special about non-romantic love.
