Hi Blisses,

I didn’t do this last week, simply because I was too lazy. I read three books though which is a shame because I can’t feature them now in this post. I’ll only be featuring the ones I read since last Wednesday till today. I also read three books in the last week, by the way.

Anyway, this meme is hosted by Sam from Taking on a World of Words and I highly recommend that you check out her site. She’s a writer just like me but unlike me, she posts something about writing. I don’t. Hehe. (I’m an embarrassment to the writing community ) Maybe someday. πŸ™‚ For now, let’s just talk about my reads.

#3 Questions are to be Answered

1.) What are you currently reading?

“A Short History of Nearly Everything” by Bill Bryson is my Nonfiction for this month and just like last month, I want to read it chapter by chapter. On the other hand, I’m about to finish “Gypsy King” by Devney Perry. I started reading it this afternoon and I think I will finish it tonight.

2.) What did you recently finished?

The last week was a good week when it comes to my reading. I fairly liked all these three books. I’m a part of a blog tour for “Rise of Gaia” and my stop is on Feb. 14. “The Sleeper and Spindle” is a Gaiman book. It’s a retelling of both Sleeping Beauty and Snow White, but it’s not really a novel, it’s only a novella. I liked it but I also agree with all the low ratings on Goodreads. The plot isn’t strong enough, to be honest but I did enjoy reading it, plus there’s also illustrations by Chris Riddle. Speaking of illustrations, The Fox and the Star is filled with illustrations. To be honest, I only read it because I want to use the illustration as inspiration for my next journal theme. hehe.

3.) What do you think you’ll read next?

So this is my week and my next week. I’m hoping to read more this week because I’m feeling stressed. And based on what I know and learned about myself, depression episodes will be next. Hopefully, I can deflect it by doing my favorite pastime ever – reading.

Have you read any of these books? Are they on your TBR too? What do you think of them? What’s on your TBR this week? Have you had your first 5-star read of this decade yet? Let’s chat.

  1. I’ve been very tempted by Gypsy King but I had the fear that if I read it I’d end up having to go on a series binge and read the rest. Glad you’re loving it though. I hope you enjoy all of your upcoming reads.

  2. Oooh, Gypsy King has a delightfully dark and lovely cover! The Fox and the Star has a gorgeous cover! Was it a good read (aside from the lovely illustrations)? I might have to check it out. I really enjoyed The Will and the Wilds. I hope you do, too! Happy reading.

    Here’s my WWW post.
