We’re back. Nori from Diary of a Book Fiend and I will be having our Day-A-Thon again this weekend and I’m beyond excited.
First of all, what is Day-A-Thon?
Day-A-Thon is our version of a 24-Hour Readathon. Supposedly, we do it every last weekend of the month but well…we haven’t done this in a while. I think the last time we did this was last August or September. It’s been a while and I miss doing this.
To be honest, when I told Nori I want to do our Day-A-Thon, I wasn’t this excited. I just want to do it but while writing this post, I realized how excited I am. I guess I miss reading for a whole day and read just for fun. And Day-A-Thon is reading for fun. Nori and I do this for pure enjoyment. We have this as a perfect excuse to spend a whole day doing nothing but read. Aside from that, we also enjoy sharing our reads with each other. It’s almost like we’re buddy-reading whenever we do this because we keep interacting with each other about our reads. It’s like we’re buddyreading even though we’re reading different books. 🙂 So yeah, to say that we’re excited to do this again is an understatement.
Just in case you want to join us, here’s our schedule.
8 p.m. as starting time means you can start at 8 p.m. WHEREVER you are. Nori and I are both in SouthEast Asia so our time difference is just an hour. But no worries, I usually stay hours after finishing the readathon doing wrap-up and review posts so I can still interact with you guys. But if you want to start with us, just message us so we can DM you to remind you how many hours left before we start. 🙂
And oh there are no rules. Like I said, we do it for pure enjoyment so no rules. Just Read.

Sooo I took Friday off to read, also cause I was supposed to have another type of day off instead of a vacation day on my birthday two weeks ago so I’m using the belated birthday holiday as an excuse for a three day weekend.
I am gonna read most of the day Friday. I got another new e-reader I shouldn’t have gotten and really want a whole day to check it out. I won’t have a whole day otherwise to check it out, just a few hours each day and I want to know if I like it before the return window expires. It’s the new Kindle Oasis 2019 by the way… I don’t need it but I was very curious about it even though I have a Kobo. The Kindle might replace my Nook that is starting to glitch. Kindles are easiest formats for Netgalley books. Plus there’s Kindle Unlimited, the library…. I have the library directly on my Kobo but it’s a pain to use the computer and cord to get Netgalley books all the time.

I haven’t been this excited to participate in a readaothon in a long time. I’m hoping this will get me out of the rut I have found myself in since I had my surgery.
