April 2020 TBR

Hi Blisses,

It turns out I read 22 books last month. I should be happy but I’m not. I only read a lot because of the quarantine and I can’t make myself glad about it. I needed something to forget my anxiety so I read. And read. And read. Besides, aside from reading, I accomplished nothing else, not even writing. And even though I’ve been posting lots of book reviews here, I’ve been ignoring the comments, and of course I haven’t visited any sites. I’m really sorry my blogger friends. It’s just that I don’t think I’ll be a good conversationalist because of my anxiety.

If I start a conversation, I know I’ll just end up talking about my anxiety, my worries and well, I don’t like that. So aside from checking up on my online friends if they’re okay amidst the global crisis that is corona virus, I avoid chatting everyone. But I feel so much better this past week and I think, I’m now ready to chat. Also, since I managed to read 22 books last month, I decided to list 30 books in my TBR this month. That’s like 1 book a day but hey, I already 2 books so I think I’m on track.

Also, I’ll be posting my wrap up post later with all the links of my reviews. Believe it or not, I managed to review 18 out of 22 books.

So here are the books I’m planning to read this month.

1.) The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout
2.) The Burning Shadow by Jennifer L. Armentrout
3.) Archenemies by Marissa Meyer
4.) Supernova by Marissa Meyer
5.) Blood Heir by Amelie Wen Zhao

6.) The Diviners by Libba Bray
7.) The Vanished Queen by Lisbeth Campbell
8.) Find Me the Bones by Sara Wolf
9.) The Raven and the Dove by Kaitlyn Davis
10.) Thorn by Intisar Khanani

11.) The Gold-son by Carrie Ann Noble
12.) The First of Shadows by Deck Matthews
13.) Dust of the Darkness by Deck Matthews
14.) A Shattering of Glass by Deck Matthews
15.) The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow

16.) Three Days by Michael Wojciechowski
17.) Don’t Go Stealing My Heart by Kelly Siskind
18.) Ghosting: A Love Story by Tash Skilton
19.) Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis
20.) Something is Killing the Children by James Tynion IV

21.) Acres of Diamonds by Jentezen Franklin
22.) The Identity Thief by Alex Bryant
23.) Jeopardy in July by Barbara Venkataraman
24.) The Gifts of July by Oliver Smuhar
25.) What We Deserve by Alyssa Nohar

26.) The Two-date Rule by Tawna Fenske
27.) Yours in Scandal by Lauren Layne
28.) Boss Man Bridegroom by Meghan Quinn
29.) My Year of Saying No by Maxine Morrey
30.) Rules of Engagement by J.T. Geissinger

I’m not that sure if I can read all these but my community is still in quarantine for a couple of weeks. And after that, I’m still not going outside. Just because the quarantine has ended doesn’t mean it’s safe outside. Just to be sure, I’ll remain inside for another two weeks. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

What books are in your TBR this month? Are we reading the same books? Have you read the books in my list? Let’s chat.

That’s a whole lot of books! I am the opposite though. When I feel anxious I tend to read a lot less. I tend to be unable to concentrate on anything and am fidgety. Hopefully you will feel less anxiety soon, but the immediate future is still looking pretty bleak. Take care! xx

First week of quarantine, I couldn’t enjoy reading too. I was too anxious, too overwhelmed with everything but I tried and little by little, I feel enjoyment in reading again, and again, I feel like escaping through reading which is what I need right now.

You take care as well. ❀️

Thank you. You too, take care. And yeah, blogging can wiat. You know I was even scheduled to buy my own domain last month (as you might notice, I’m using the free wordpress) but since I can’t focus blogging now, spending money for it isn’t wise. πŸ™‚

Same, reading is all I can do right now. To be honest, first week of quarantine, I couldn’t read as well. I was too anxious and I couldn’t help but think I have no right to enjoy reading because the world is on fire. I just couldn’t. Thankfully, I feel a little better now. πŸ™‚ You take care. ❀️

Thank you Sophie. And hey, it’s actually 3pm here and I just woke up. I slept for like 18 hours and thats a good thing. It only means my anxiety didnt give me insomnia foe the first time since quarantine happened. πŸ™‚
