April Reading Wrap-Up

Hi Blisses,

I read 21 books last month, which isn’t surprising because we’re still stuck at home. Hopefully, our quarantine ends in May 15 but I’m not keeping my hopes high. Anyway, I’ve read quite a number of great books last month. Sure, I only had one 5-star read but I had lots of 4 and 4.5-star reads. I also didn’t have any DNF so that’s great.

The bad news is I didn’t review most of my reads. I felt lazy. I wanted to just read and read and read. By the way, the past two days, I had a 48-hour readathon and I finished the whole Diviners series. That’s 4 books, you guys. So it’s only April 6th, but I already read 8 books. But that’s for another wrap-up post, let me now share the books I read last month.

1.) Archenemies by Marissa Meyer
2.) Supernova by Marissa Meyer
3.) Boss Man Bridegroom by Meghan Quinn (My REVIEW)
4.) Luna and the Lie by Mariana Zapata
5.) Find Me Their Bones by Sara Wolf

7.) Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman (My REVIEW)
8.) The Toll by Neal Shusterman (My REVIEW)

11.) The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout –Reread– (MY REVIEW)
12.) The Burning Shadow by Jennifer L. Armentrout
13.) The Secret to Dating Your Bestfriends’s Sister by Meghan Quinn
14.) My Year of Saying No by Maxine Morrey (MY REVIEW)
15.) Don’t Go Stealing My Heart by Kelly Siskind (MY REVIEW)

16.) First Comes Scandal by Julia Quinn (MY REVIEW)
17.) If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlane (MY REVIEW)
18.) Something is Killing the Children by James Tynion IV
19.) The Identity Thief by Alex Bryant (MY REVIEW)

    1. Thank you, Stephen. The Scythe series is amazing and the first book is my favorite. If you’ve ever read the series, I’d love to know what you think of the direction that the whole series took. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Also, I won’t review The Ten Thousand Doors of January yet, because I want reread it using a physical book (I only read it on my kindle) I just want to annotate it and then review it.

  1. Congrats to a fabulous reading month!! How did you like Luna and the Lie by Mariana Zapata? And I still need to read If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlane, hope I’ll get to it this month.

    1. Thank you. πŸ™‚ Luna and the Lie is OK. For me, it’s not her best work. If I Never Met You is a surprise. I wasn’t expecting to like it so much because the beginning is a bit serious, much serious than the second half of the book. Hope you like it.

  3. Wow you were able to read so many! I haven’t read any of these titles yet, but most are on my TBR… I’m especially excited about The Ten Thousand Doors Of January. Here’s to a great bookish May! xx

  4. β€œI didn’t review most of my reads. I felt lazy. I wanted to just read and read and read.” OMG this was also me in April! I’m SO behind on reviews but I had a blast reading so no regrets. In April, my 5-star romance read was Girl Gone Viral. It’s a sweet bodyguard romance with lots of pining, and it tackles issues like PTSD and mental health. I don’t know if you’ve read it, but I really loved that one.
