Hi Blisses,

To be honest, I’m so tired these days. I don’t think I’ve been this tired ever in my life, but still, I realized that if I do nothing, it’s worse for me. So, I don’t know if you guys notice but I’ve been blogging more often these days. This is the only way I can keep myself functioning right now. I need to be busy and distracted. Which, in a way is a good thing. I’m back to blogging. LOL.
Anyway, this tag is from my friend, Misty over at Misty’s Book Space. Never Have I Ever is such very well-known phrase, I’m glad that there’s a book tag based on it. And of course, I’m grateful that Misty tagged me to do this.

PROMPTS
Never have I Ever.. read a later book in a series – before reading the first book.
Yes. Almost always. I do it often with Static and Anthology types of series but never with Dynamic-type series. Especially with Historical Romance series, I usually read the latter books with higher ratings. LOL.
Never have I Ever.. burned a book.
NEVER. I will never ever burn a book no matter how much I hate it. Or even if I hate the author I won’t burn it. I have solutions though for these two situations. If I hate a book, I would either give it away, to a friend or as a donation. If I hate the author, I turn their book into an art. Like a bookfolding art. That way, it still makes me happy.
Never have I Ever.. read a book I knew I would hate.
I only read books I’m sure I would like but I did read a book once that I was sure I would hate. Thankfully, I was wrong. The book was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. From the title to the blurb, it was so obvious I won’t like the book but I gave in to the hype. And thank God I did, it’s still one of my favorite books of all time.
Never have I Ever.. wrote a fanfiction about my favorite books.
Nope. For some reason, I never thought of writing a fanfiction.
Never have I Ever.. loved a book when I was young, yet hated it when I got older.
No. Thankfully, I still love all the books I fell in love with when I was a kid.
Never have I Ever.. dressed up as one of my favorite literary characters.
No, but I always wanted to. I’m not really sure why I haven’t yet. Maybe it’s because I’m too lazy to prepare the stuff I need to prepare for the dress up. 🙂
Never have I Ever.. hated a book by an author I love.
No. This is such a great thing. I told Misty that my answers would be similar to hers on this tag so let me use her example – Nicholas Sparks. I loved Nicolas Sparks ever since I read A Walk to Remember in high school and since then I’ve been reading his books and I enjoyed reading all of them. I am aware that the plots of his books, especially the latest ones, have been formulaic but I still enjoy reading them.
Never have I Ever.. gone into a bookstore to buy one book and come out with many more.
There is no way I would leave a bookstore with only one book in hand. That just never happened before. Even if I intended to buy one, I would leave with at least two.
Never have I Ever.. read the ending of a book before reading the beginning.
I used to do this when I was younger. I was a sucker for a happy ending when I was in my teenage years so I needed to know if it has a happy ending before I spend hours of my life reading it. But I don’t do this anymore.
Never have I Ever.. read a book without the dust cover.
Is it even possible to read a book with the dust cover on? I find it so hard.
Never have I Ever.. skim read nearly half the book.
Never. I want to read every single word. I’m so worried I’ll miss something that’s vital to the plot so I never skim read.
Never have I Ever.. pretended to have read a book that I haven’t.
Ahm, why would I? So far, I haven’t had the reason to do this. If other people do it, there must be a reason. If you’ve ever done this, tell me why you did so. I’m curious. 🙂
Never have I Ever.. saw the movie before reading the book.
I do this often. There were so many instances that the adaptation convinced me to read the book. If the adaptation is bad but the plot is promising, I would want to read the book. And of course if the adaptation is good, the more I want to read the book.
Never have I Ever.. had a book boyfriend.
We all share the same answer here, right?
Never have I Ever.. read a history book or anthropology book for fun.
Hahaha. Sorry for the enthusiasts but no. History or Anthropology never interest me. I read them for school but never for fun.
Never have I Ever.. picked up a book based on the cover alone.
Lol. I. Do. This. All. The. Time. I’m weak, okay? I give in to temptation easily. Ugh! Even on Netgalley, I request most books there based on their covers. 🙂
Never have I Ever.. Bought multiple books in a series without having started it.
I have at least 11 books in the IN DEATH series by J.D. Robb and yeah, you guessed it — I’ve never read any of it.
Never have I Ever.. kept reading a series even if I didn’t love the first book.
I used to do this but not anymore. I used to keep reading a series even if I didn’t love the first book. I used to feel like it’s my responsibility to finish the series. I was so naive. LOL
Never have I ever.. kept buying books even though my bookshelves are full of unread books
LOL. I mean, right now, I don’t even recognize some of the books in my bookshelves anymore. I don’t even remember how I got some of them. So yeah, I keep buying books even though I have tons of unread books.
My New Prompt:
Never have I ever…buy/read a book because of a booktuber/book blogger
I’m easily influenced when it comes to books so I’ve lost count of the books I’ve bought and read because of book bloggers and booktubers. I have lots of favorites and I often base my TBR on their recommendations.

Thanks for the tag Lili! I love answering bookish questions! And I agree about blogging being a wonderful distraction..I found that especially true during the early months of the pandemic! Blogging and reading to the rescue!

During the early months of pandemic, I was actually too depressed to do anything. I didn’t even try doing anything. I wished I at least tried blogging. I would’ve been more productive during those months. lol.
Looking forward to your answers. 🙂
