Know Me Better

Hi Blisses,

I think I’ll start by saying I love books and aspire to be a published author. Most people online know me as Lili Marcus, but it is a pen name I’m planning to use in my future novels. My real name is actually Maricel. Currently, I’m writing my first novel, along with other novels. Lol. Seriously, I think I’m working on at least eight novels right now. But I’m enjoying it.

I was barely eight (8) years old when I fell in love with the written word. And no, it wasn’t because of a fairytale, not even Harry Potter. The very first actual book I read, except textbooks, is The Client by John Grisham. It is a crime fiction and was not a book a kid should read.

As an eight-year-old back then, I was amazed by the way how the writing affected me. I knew it wasn’t real and yet I felt like I was transported to another world, met strangers and lived with them until they get their happy ending.

I created this blog solely for sharing bookish stuff but now, I want to share more than that. So expect more content from me that is not book-related. I’m battling depression so maybe I’ll share about that. I also love watching films and TV shows so maybe…
