Goodreads Reading Challenge – Quarterly Update

Hi Guys,

reading_challenge_logo_large@2xHow are you all on your reading journeys so far this year? I’m here for a quarterly update for one of the Reading Challenges I’m doing this year. I joined Goodreads last 2016 and since then I’ve joined its own Reading Challenge every year. In 2016 I pledged, 150 books which I finished with flying colors having read 153 books.
So it wasn’t surprising that I pledged to read 200 books the next year. I already said this: 2017 ISN’T MY YEAR. And I’m not only referring to my Reading. So unfortunately, I only rWell, ead 152 books.

So naturally, I pledged to read 200 books again. I just don’t know how to give up. No, seriously, we should always push our limits, right? I already reached 150, it’s time to aim higher and I AM JOBLESS so I have time. LOL.

For my first ever update, here it is:

Well, look at that. 🙂 🙂 Look like I’m on fire on my Reading this year…

Well, who can blame me? 🙂 It’s also my first time getting ahead of my counts. 🙂 I used to catch up on my Read Counts but now, I think I’m gonna go chillin’ about it.

How about you guys, how’s your reading challenges so far. I know most of you have jobs and school and so reading isn’t easy. But I hope you all get a free time once in a while to enjoy reading.

If you guys have a moment, can you follow me on Goodreads? That would make me so happy. 🙂 🙂

 MY 2018 READING CHALLENGE

Okay, I’m gonna go back to my reading. I’m currently reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and I’m finding it so fascinating. Though I’m not that keen to finish it. i think I’ll enjoy it best on weekend. 🙂

By the way, what are you guys reading? Any recommendation?

I’ll leave Tom Hiddleston to you all.

Happy Reading,

  1. I love Goodreads. My reading goal is nowhere near yours as I tend to read about 20 books a year, simply cause I have too many interests and not too much free time (I’m a teacher) so I tend to never set my reading challenge too high 😂
I applaud your reading challenge! And I will definitely check out your goodreads page! 😍

    1. Thanks Flo… Not normal but all my interests revolves around reading and writing. hehe. 🙂 🙂 I do understand that teaching will leave you lesser time as even at home you have something to do for your work.

And let me just salute you for your profession. Every profession is amazing but teaching, for me, is on another level higher… Whenever Im asked what profession I admire the most, it’s teaching as I met so many wonderful teachers in my life and it’s one thing I can never do. Im not good at teaching. 🙂 🙂 hehe

      1. Thats so nice Lili… your words made my day!
I never wanted to be a teacher, but a writer (still working on this 😉) but being a teacher is a steady job and I love teaching children.
I used to be very shy and afraid of talking in public (even a phone call was a struggle), now I am a loudmouth and even randomly address people in the street 😂 Guess becoming a teacher paid off in that department lol.

    1. This might sound arrogant and bragging but I’m really a fast reader. ANd I’m very IMPATIENT. LOL. that’s a big factor in my reading. I usually can’t wait to know what happen next so I read most books in one sitting. 🙂 🙂

  2. Goodreads say I’m behind on my readings but that’s because I usually update on one go so.. not really haha. And I’m glad you left Hiddles to us, I’ll be taking him then ~ ❤

  3. Lili, you are the girl reading like wildfire! You are the one millionth annual Reading Games! The rules are simple: read or you die! Anyway, you are doing fantastic! So far, I have read a little more than 30 books. Keep up the great work, or die! 🙂 (P.S. I love the design change! It looks so cute!)

      1. Hahaha. Well, I think after visiting your blog almost every day (even if I don’t comment on every post) I would recognize a change in design…I hope. One day, I was typing in your blog address and I saw this design. I immediately wondered where I was, whether I got lost in time, and whether or not my feet were still connected to my legs. I then saw your profile picture and sighed in relief. I really like the new design, not that there was anything wrong with your first one, but this one is very cute! Hope you enjoy your new design!

        1. Hahaha… your comments always make me laugh… You really have this way with words… I like it. That’s why I can’t help but smile whenever I see your name on my notifs even before reading your comment.

Thanks again for the compliment over my new design. I like it a lot too. 🙂 Though it was an accident how it ended like it. I couldn’t decide what color I should use as my background. and then my temper rose(yeah it happens) so I thought why not use rainbow instead so voila… 🙂

Thanks for visiting my blog often. though I should apologize I don’t visit your blog everyday, more like every other day and so I know you haven’t been posting last week or so… hehe.. Busy with school?
