Fate has thrown two sworn enemies into each other’s arms…
Cameron Lynde and Jack Pallas have a past, a past that had him thinking she’s the reason why he almost lost his job in FBI. But now, 3 years later, they both have to set aside their personal hate towards each other to solve a murder. Cameron, an Assistant US. Attorney is a witness to a murder in a hotel where she stayed. The couple in the other room were having a very loud sex she endured to listen to but ended with the woman dead by morning. Now, Jack, grudgingly or not, have to keep her safe, no matter what.
Let me start with this GIF.
Ah this novel. This is what I call a perfect treat. It was filled with love, sweetness, angst, sexual tensions, hot kisses and sex, sassy banters and perfect cast of characters.
I love the plot, this was the kind of plot I used to read when I was younger and trying to mix my first love genre, Crime and Romance. It is the hate-to-love trope I used to adore perfect with sassy banters I can’t help but giggle with and hot scenes, stolen kisses and sexual tension I cuddle with.
Though this is labeled as Romantic suspense, it isn’t that much really, it’s more on the side of contemporary romance. The murderer was even revealed before Chapter ten and he has his own POV. But that doesn’t ruin the entire plot or my reading. Besides Cameron’s being targeted by the murderer was enough suspense and helped the Romance develop which is GREAT because I’m more interested on the Romance side.
OMG you guys, Jack and Cameron are ❤️💜❤️. Their attraction is just too strong.
“My God, Jack-with a look like that, you two should just get a room. And try not to pick the one with a dead body next to it this time.”
Cameron is so smart, independent and loving. It shows how she loved her bestfriends, Amy and Collin. And what she did for Jack 3 years ago. And don’t even let me start with Jack. Jack is so hot. HOT. I was on fire reading everytime he was on the page. The moment he was introduced, I died. He was described as having this glowering look and that just added to his cham. i can’t blame Cameron for having him. really. I forgive her for those stolen kisses and dirty imagination. Like you go girl… And guilty here, I didn’t realize this one is a reread for me until that hot scene behind a closed door. hehe… I really remember that scene out of all the scenes..
Like I said this book has a perfect cast of characters. I love Amy and Collin, Jack’s partner Wilkins, even the cops assigned as Cameron’s guards. They were fun to read and made the reading into a new level of happiness.
I highly recommend this one guys. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Interesting. I haven’t read too many attorney/FBI characters in a romantic suspense.
