2018 Reading Challenges

Hi Bookish People,

How are you all? I’ve been trying to catch up on blogging and reading all your blogs but I just couldn’t. To those who don’t know, well, I’m writing a book and it seems that my muse is being kind to me. I’m taking advantage of it. But my writing isn’t just my focus this year. I’m also set to catch up on my reading this year. Because hello? a writer is no writer if she isn’t a reader. πŸ™‚

I joined few Reading challenges this year and hopefully I get to finish all of them. Thankfully most of the books can crossover from one challenge to the other. πŸ™‚ Is that cheating? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ (I know you guys do the same… hahaha)

Anyway, these are the 2018 Reading Challenges I joined:

1.Β Goodreads Reading Challenge 2018

I’m set to read 200 books this year. It was also my goal last year but I flunked it. I only read 151 books and though it was a good number, it wasn’t my goal. In 2016, I read 153 books so I really thought I can go with 200 last year. I was wrong. Hopefully this year, I can do better.

2.Β 2018 Netgalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge

I need this reading challenge. Though I haven’t requested anything from Edelweiss yet, I have 29 approved books that I’m yet to read on Netgalley. I really have to catch up on my arcs because for me 29 is quite plenty.Β This challenge is hosted byΒ Bookish Things and More. Do check their blog to know more about it. πŸ™‚

3.Β POPSUGAR Reading Challenge 2018

tmp_wtY30s_09deced064eb85ab_PS17_11_1_IG_ReadingChallenge_1456x1456Ah this challenge!!! Seriously, I’ve been trying to finish this challenge in the last couple of years and still can’t do it. This challenge contain 40 categories (50 if the Advanced Challenge is included,).Β Some categories are easy, some aren’t.

Hopefully, this year is the year. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

4.Β Author Love Challenge 2018

This is a little unique challenge because it lets you choose juts one author and then read as many of that author’s books as you can in the whole year.

I chose John Grisham because I missed his books. And really, this is my way of thanking him because I owe him a lot. He introduced me to reading. I’ll post reviews of his books.Β How about you, who’s the author that introduced you to reading?

5.Β 2018 AtoZ Reading Challenge

This must be my favorite out of all the Reading Challenges I’m joining this year. I just love it. This interesting challenge is being hosted byΒ GingerMomReadsΒ and they also have plenty of little challenges to accompany this one. Please check it out. πŸ™‚

6.Β 2018 Moody Reading Challenge

    1. Good luck to you too. πŸ™‚ And Happy Reading. I figured that if I’m trying to read 200 books, I just have to choose the books that fits the categories in other challenges so hitting several birds in one stone…hahaha. πŸ™‚ And thanks.
